Founded 50 years ago in 1959, TU was created by a group of Michigan fishermen who wanted to protect their local waters. Throughout 2009, TU chapters and councils will commemorate the 50th anniversary with many celebrations around the country. From local stream clean-ups to banquets and other events, TU volunteers and staff will commemorate 50 years of protecting cold, clean, fishable water.

TU Updates _______________ The spring Rim Shoals Weekend is April 3-5. Click here to get the reservation form. This is a great time for everyone, and lots of great food, fishing, and fun ________________ Next Chapter meeting is Monday, April 6th with Gary Flippin from Rim Shoals Resort discussing the history of fishing on the White River, which many of us know for it's tailwater trout fishing, but it was once a warm water river with renowned smallmouth fishing. As usual, we meet at Whole Hog Cafe in Fayetteville. All are welcome Chapter board meeting (Open to all) 5:15 - 6:15 PM Social time 6:16 - 6:30 Dinner 6:30 - 7:00 Program 7:00 - 8:00 ________________ Latest edition of the Trouter is now available here ________________ Our May 4th Chapter meeting will feature Tim Snell from The Nature Conservancy, discussing Sediment Reduction in Streams ________________ Remember to respect the natural wonder that we all live in. |
